How to Choose an Insurance Lead Generation Company
Due to uncertainty in the insurance market due to natural disasters and financial instability, the industry has change quite a bit. Many companies have stopped services or have limited their services to certain regions the US, yet many companies have chosen this time to expand its products to the US market. As a result, competition has increased making for ferocity among the companies to get their share of the insurance market.
In this competition increased market, insurance agents need to have as many resources at hand to increase their book of business. With so many resources it is imperative that if an agent is looking at a lead generation service, the agent needs to make sure that lead generation service has some key issues in place.
Many agents have been exposed to fraud, and been cheated out of money. So be mindful before committing to one or more insurance lead generation services. Is the company or its’, “Parent Company,” a member or in good standing with Dunn and Bradstreet, The BBB, or any other governing body for the insurance industry?
What is the history of the company’s service during its time in business? While a long time in business can indicate that a company is practicing, “above board,” in its industry, that does not necessarily mean that it is actually conducting all of the practices its’ service proclaims. If the company has recently begun offering its’ services and you have some mental questions after you had made some initial contact with the company, then stay away from that company if it does not keep its’ initial promises.
Take a good look at the lead types and the quality of the leads being offered. If you cannot see or be given all the options and benefits of the leads being offered then do not join the service.
Ask the company and yourself the following questions and then carefully analzye the answers:
- Where is the company going?
- What is its growth plans?
- Does the company listen to its agents’ input?
Once you have had a chance to speak with one of the company’s consultants and you have all your questions answered-then and only then-after you feel comfortable and confident with what you have seen and heard should you join the ranks of their agents.
